HOPE RETURNING is a 24" octagon made of weathered fence picket wood and colored with water based stains. It hangs on the wall. It depicts Kokopelli (the ancient Southwest god of fertility and pranks fluting and dancing his way across a landscape laid barren by a pandemic and government over-reaction. He is encouraging the new day of HOPE to dawn upon the Earth.

I was born August 22, 1948 in Cortez, CO. My family moved to Littleton, CO. in 1961, and I graduated High School from Littleton High School 1966. Then I went to Western State College in Gunnison, CO, 1966 – 1968, but did not graduate. I never went to art school. I am a completely self-taught artist and have had a good teacher. I began framing houses to earn a living in 1977 and worked in the construction trades for the next 25-28 years. I moved to Los Angeles in1982 and had a door installation business until 2002. In 2001, I found my soulmate and love of my life. We moved to Colorado in March of 2002 and we were married in June of that year.
