MANDALA 4 is a wall hanging art piece that is more than a painting. It is an intricate mosaic of 213 individually cut pieces of re-purposed weathered wood. It is painted with a deck and fence stain, using multiple layers of stain to achieve a very painterly appearance. The size is approximately 22" from point to point. It has picture hanging wired attached to the back for easy hanging. Very high quality craftsmanship throughout the piece.

I was born August 22, 1948 in Cortez, CO. My family moved to Littleton, CO. in 1961, and I graduated High School from Littleton High School 1966. Then I went to Western State College in Gunnison, CO, 1966 – 1968, but did not graduate. I never went to art school. I am a completely self-taught artist and have had a good teacher. I began framing houses to earn a living in 1977 and worked in the construction trades for the next 25-28 years. I moved to Los Angeles in1982 and had a door installation business until 2002. In 2001, I found my soulmate and love of my life. We moved to Colorado in March of 2002 and we were married in June of that year.
