Artist's Description
PHANTASM 3 is an abstract painting, the third in a series, utilizing the Fibonacci curve and weathered wood. This piece is more of a painting, where as PHANTASM 1 and 2 were more mosaics. I used analogous colors to create the swirling statement of the cosmos, and primary colors on weathered wood "switchback lines" overlaid to break up the swirl and create a sense of wonder. The frame is made of weathered wood in 4 tiers of the light end of the spectrum of the analogous colors in the painting. The art was created in a persistent state of joy. I hope it inspires a happy feeling in the viewer.
