Artist's Description
The Rooster and the background are made entirely with Weathered Cedar Fence Pickets except the eye which is copper pipe and acrylic resin. The wood feathers are hand cut, fitted, painted with artist oils and glued to a "manikin" body - one feather at a time. The "manikin" body is surrounded by carefully fitted slats of weathered wood that make up the background - there is no laser technology in this process. Surrounding the piece is a weathered wood frame which has been cropped out for reproduction purposes. The entire picture is sealed with lacquer and picture wire has been fixed to the back so it can hang on your wall. Cleaning/dusting this art is as simple as using a brush attachment to your vacuum cleaner.
